May 23 service
Today is Pentecost Sunday, the birthday of the church. The scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit came to a gathering of early believers with the sound of a rushing wind and tongues of fire, and they began to speak in other languages so that all present could understand them. The apostle Peter urged these early Christians to go and tell others about Jesus Christ, and 3000 people were baptized that day.
May 16 service
May 9th Service
Happy Mother’s Day. As part of our service this morning, plants were given to all the women.
Next Sunday, May 16th, will be a special day in our church. At 3pm a choral concert will take place with the combined choirs of Haddon Heights United Methodist Church and Ashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill. Both choirs have spent many hours preparing for this event, and it promises to be a wonderful musical event.
May 2nd Communion Service
Last week’s service was not recorded because of a software problem with my computer. We’re back on line this week.
April 18th Service
Jesus appears to His disciples after His resurrection.
April 11th service
This week we have an abridged version of our service. I did not have the equipment set up properly, and much of the service was recorded too soft to be heard. What I do have is music performed by our children with Steve McGaw, the Sanctuary Choir anthem, Because He Lives, and the sermon. Pastor Debbie was away with he family today, so Steve also gave the sermon. For the last year he has been working with the children with Children’s Church and music with New Beginnings. We thank Steve for his work with the children, and for bringing us the sermon today. Some of his sermon may be soft and hard to understand. Recording this is still a work in progress, and I’ll get better-I hope!
April 4th Easter Service
Easter is always a glorious holiday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Due to a problem with the sound system, not all of the service was recorded. Our Easter music is on this week’s post, along with the sermon, which unfortunately is a little hard to understand.
March 28th Service, Palm Sunday
We are back in our Sanctuary to celebrate Palm Sunday and Easter next week. There are services on Thursday and Friday evening at 7:30 this week, and you are invited to attend. Next Sunday is Easter, and we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The service as usual will be at 11AM. Please join us for this glorious service.
March 21 service
Thank you to everyone who helped with these events. There were 25 people who worked on the church facilities, and 16 projects were completed. A special thanks to all who helped with the food drive, including 15 honor society students from Haddon Heights and Paul VI high schools. Over 100 boxes of food was collected.
